AI Providers & BYOK

HyperION DAW disclosure

HyperION offers optional AI-assisted music and audio-production workflows. External providers are selected and configured by the user and are not required for the core DAW.

BYOK means Bring Your Own Key. HyperION does not sell, resell, or receive revenue from third-party provider accounts, subscriptions, API quotas, or usage charges.

Optional by design

Recording, editing, mixing, MIDI, plugin hosting, project management, and other core DAW functions do not require an external AI account or API credential.

Provider-managed billing

Any account, quota, subscription, usage fee, retention policy, or API charge is managed directly between the user and the selected provider.

Supported provider types

Provider availability may vary by HyperION edition, platform build, region, provider policy, and user configuration. Current integrations may include:

• ElevenLabs Music — Official website: https://elevenlabs.io/music

• Google Cloud Vertex AI - Lyria — Official documentation: https://cloud.google.com/vertex-ai/generative-ai/docs/music/generate-music

• Hugging Face Inference Endpoints — Official website: https://huggingface.co/inference-endpoints

• Stability AI / Stable Audio — Official website: https://stableaudio.com/

• Compatible custom REST endpoints — Address and credentials are supplied by the user.

• Local or self-hosted endpoints — Availability depends on the user's installed runtime and configuration.

What may be sent

When a user selects an external provider and explicitly permits an external request, HyperION may send the information needed for that request, such as:

• The user's music or audio prompt.

• Enabled project context, which may include tempo, key, duration, variation count, or other selected production parameters.

• Reference audio only when the user explicitly selects it, enables provider upload, and confirms that they have permission to use the material.

Provider-specific privacy, storage, retention, training, safety, and acceptable-use policies apply to data processed by an external provider.

How generated material is used

Generated audio, sound effects, MIDI, and related production material are returned to HyperION for user review. The user may preview, edit, insert, mix, export, replace, or discard the result.

AI output is not executable application code and does not replace the user's control over the DAW project.

Reference audio and rights

Users must own or have the necessary rights and permissions for prompts, lyrics, recordings, and reference material they submit. HyperION does not grant rights to third-party content.

HyperION does not guarantee that generated output is free from copyright, trademark, publicity, contractual, or other third-party claims. Users are responsible for reviewing generated material, provider terms, model licenses, and their intended use before publishing or distributing output.

Costs and purchases

HyperION does not operate an external checkout for third-party AI services. Provider charges, if any, are paid directly by the user to the selected provider.

The current Steam build does not offer AI credit packs or Steam MicroTransaction purchases. Standard Steam DLC products, where available, are purchased and managed separately through Steam.

Privacy, safety, and support

Users should review the selected provider's policies before sending prompts, metadata, or reference material. Do not submit confidential material or content you are not authorized to use.
